3 Points in the bag for Latics in the Community Employability Day

Our operations team took some timeout last week and headed over to the DW Stadium, in Wigan to impart some work based knowledge on Year 9's from around the borough. Taryn and Gavin, talked about the business and how we have varied roles beyond carrying tools. Answering questions and advising the youngsters on the different career paths and opportunities they could have in their hometown. With the inclusion of 'Play Your Cards Right' (none of them were old enough to remember the show) the ops team went through some of our previous projects. Working on critical thinking, mathematics and verbal communication skills the groups had a great time guessing the pricing of our builds. Some were shy at first but with the added encouragement from packets of swizzles squashies, everybody engaged in the activity. Carrying out community activities is a huge part of our company values and becomes even more special when we get to support causes in our hometown.
