Being present in our communities is at the forefront of everything we do at Link, from supporting local allotments to delivering employability skills workshops, being present and connected is of the upmost importance to us.
Late last year we were approached by a newly formed girls football team in New Inn, Pontypool asking if we would like to sponsor them. As a business who understands the importance of sports in communities and in particular grassroots teams, we listened to the girls’ story and jumped at the chance to offer our support. The girls are already making history, having an FAW ruling overturned to allow them to play in a previously boys only league.
The tenacity of the team and their dedication to making football inclusive for all ages and genders resonates with us as a business where we ensure equality is upheld in every department, role, and team.
We wish the girls and their coaches the best of luck, we’re sure they will continue to make history in the footballing world!
