Fun in the Sun – Link Supports Saplings Community Centre

Last week #teamlink went to lend a helping hand @ The Saplings Community Centre in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.
The centre had a disused garden area at the front of the building, that they wanted to turn into a haven for the families they support. With some help from the Co-op facilities team and #teamlink we managed to get the area turned round and usable within 2 days.
With some green fingered helpers and eager painters we were able to transform the area into a serene, calming space. With the addition of sleeper planter for vegetables and herbs, some new flowerbeds and some outdoor toys and beanbags, a once disused area is now a haven of tranquillity.
A huge thank you to our helpers and volunteers for their hard work, with a special mention to the #teamlink members that participated: Barry Thompson, Phil Wright, Mark Bance, Taryn Banner, Brad Smith, Shauna Markham, Graham Sear & Darren Mead.
