Link supports carvery reopening following stormy afternoon
11th April 2024
Our engineers continually blow us away (pardon the pun), following a bad storm and extreme winds over the weekend our on-call engineers sprang into action to help get the Toby Carvery in St Helens back open and trading following a tree coming down and damaging the roof. This was no mean feat, given the tree in question was over 30ft tall, but working together with tree surgeons and Andy Miller, Area Building Manager for Mitchells & Butlers PLC, we were able to get the tree removed with all waste cleared. Site was made watertight for the evening and then repairs began to the roof Sunday morning. This quick turnaround allowed the venue to reopen in time to serve their customers a lovely Sunday roast. Due to the severity of the impact works are ongoing without impacting trade or access to the business. Well done to everyone involved!
